The legal team at Senniger Powers is intense — intensely curious, intensely thorough and intensely focused. We focus on the preparation and prosecution of patents, copyrights and trademarks, and related litigation, representing all types of businesses from Fortune 500 companies to small start-ups, in industries such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and software. In addition, most of our attorneys are engineers or scientists with advanced degrees and far-reaching experience in a variety of technical fields.

Many firms practice intellectual property law, but few have the combined scientific, technical and legal expertise necessary to maximize the opportunities that IP presents. Our attorneys and agents have degrees in hard science and engineering, including chemistry; molecular biology; and electrical, mechanical, chemical, computer, biomedical, and metallurgical engineering. Our collaborative approach, combined with our technical experience, allows us to deliver insightful counsel, unique solutions and exceptional client service.

As the largest intellectual property firm in Missouri and one of the largest in the Midwest, we help clients across the country achieve a competitive advantage through strategic management of their IP portfolios.

By understanding the complexities and details of our clients’ endeavors, we are able to deliver exceptional client service and create enduring intellectual property strategies that help our clients achieve a competitive advantage.

Our litigators are experienced in handling a wide variety of intellectual property and complex commercial cases. We have received large verdicts on behalf of plaintiffs as well as obtained favorable defense judgments and settlements. We are proficient in handling the demands of high stakes litigation, both from a legal and technological standpoint. For example, e-discovery is managed in-house resulting in substantial cost savings to our clients. We have specially trained in-house staff, software, and servers that allow us to process and produce discovery efficiently and without the use of outside vendors. We are proud of the results we have obtained for our clients, big and small.

“Kurt James specializes in patents and has significant experience of prosecution and licensing issues. One commentator says: “He just gets to the heart of it and writes great patent applications.”
